Here's How We Can Help Your Child Develop

Fine and Gross Motor Skill Development

Fine and gross motor skills help children move, play, and do everyday tasks. Gross motor skills involve big movements like jumping or climbing, while fine motor skills involve small movements like using crayons or buttons. OT helps kids build these skills to thrive at home, school and play.

Social and Play Skills

Social and play skills help children connect, communicate, and learn through interaction with others. In pediatric occupational therapy, we support kids developing the ability to share, take turns, read social cues, and engage in meaningful play, which in turn helps to build confidence, friendships, and emotional growth along the way.

Attention and Organization Strategies

Executive functioning skills are the brain’s tools for getting things done, such as paying attention, following directions, staying organized, and managing emotions. In pediatric occupational therapy, we help children build these skills so they can success in daily routines, school tasks, and social situations with more independence and confidence.

Reflex Integration

Reflex integration helps children overcome retained primitive reflexes that can affect movement, coordination, and attention. Therapists use specific activities to support brain and body development, improving a child’s ability to learn, play, and function.

FAQs

How do I know if my child needs occupational therapy?

Every child develops at their own pace, but if you notice your child is having consistent difficulty with everyday activities—like getting dressed, using utensils, paying attention, managing big emotions, playing with others, or meeting developmental milestones—it may be time to explore occupational therapy. OT can help identify underlying challenges and provide strategies to support your child’s independence, confidence, and growth. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to chat and help you decide if an evaluation is the right next step.

What can I expect during my child's treatment sessions?

Each session will look differently. Because we are heavily focused on ensuring that our process is child centered, we take their needs into consideration on a session basis. After an evaluation has been completed, goals will be made to work toward. These will be the things that we highlight during our session. However, our sessions are ever changing and can be adjusted as we go making progress.

How many treatment sessions will my child need?

The number of sessions needed varies from child to child and depends on several factors, including your goals and desired outcomes. Our goal is to provide you with the most efficient and effective care to help you achieve long-lasting results. Your progress will be continually monitored and adjusted as needed throughout your treatment plan.

Do you accept insurance?

We have decided to remain a private pay clinic and not take insurance at this time. You are able to use and HSA or FSA benefits with us and we can provide you with a superbill to submit to insurance on your own. We are also eligible to accept the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA). These options allow us to provide a more individualized and quality level of care.

If you are interested in submitting a superbill to your insurance, we highly recommend checking with them first to ensure that they will reimburse you for services. We also recommend asking them the following questions: "Do I have an out-of-network deductible to meet first?", "Do I have out-of-network occupational therapy benefits?", "Am I eligible for full reimbursement of the occupational therapy services?"

Where can my child work with you?

We are a mobile provider and can provide services in the comfort of your home, at the child's daycare, or their school. This allows us to provide a personalized approach based on the environment they need the most help in.

What are the benefits of therapy in your child's environment?

The benefit of seeing children in their own environment is that we are able to teach them new skills and strategies where they will be using them, which allows for an increase in carry over into other settings and usage of new skills.

How does in-home therapy work?

Our therapists will bring all necessary equipment and tailor the therapy sessions to your home environment, making it more convenient and relevant to your child's daily life. Your therapist will provide any additional instructions based on your child's individual treatment plan.

How do you ensure the quality and safety of your services?

Our licensed and experienced therapists adhere to the highest standards of care. We regularly update our practices based on the latest research and guidelines in occupational therapy. Additionally, we follow strict hygiene and safety protocols to protect our clients and staff.

If you have any other questions or need further information, please feel free to contact us. We're here to help you every step of the way!
